The Salvation Army’s global Mission Statement is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

We share the same convictions of The Salvation Army’s founding father, William Booth:“While women weep as they do now, I’ll fight; while little children go hungry as they do now, I’ll fight; while men go to prison, in and out, in and out, as they do now, I’ll fight; while there is a drunkard left, while there is a poor lost girl on the streets, while there remains one dark soul without the light of God, I’ll fight – I’ll fight to the very end.”

Our Goderich and Clinton Community and Family Services operates a food bank that clients can access monthly, as well as a twice-weekly bread donation from Zehrs that can be accessed during office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Through Community and Family Services individuals can also receive assistance with clothing and household items, referrals, rent and utility assistance, transportation assistance, and assistance applying for the Ontario Energy Support Program.

Camping opportunities at The Salvation Army’s Jackson’s Point camp and Camp Newport are also available in the summer.

The Salvation Army Community and Family Services is part of the Back Pack program in Huron County and also operates Emergency Disaster Services for Suncoast Citadel.
